I just wanted to mention this all happened 5 years ago (almost 6 years now) and luckily she survived! Although it's in the past I still remember the exact feeling I felt when my dad told me what happened. My heart sank and I was just in shock knowing there was a chance I might never see her again. Basically, she got hit by a car that didn't stop at a red light. The person who did it never got in trouble, but I'm just glad my mom's still here with me :)

Yes, she is paranoid when it comes to crossing streets, but things have gotten better over the past 5 years. I was really young when it happened so I'm surprised I still remember so much.
