Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp has pledged to revitalise the CBD as the city sees more workers return to offices.

The Property Council of Australia shows office occupancy in Melbourne climbing to 32 per cent in March, up from 15 per cent the month prior when the work from home order and mask mandate was removed.

“We would absolutely love it if the premier stood up and emphatically said ‘everyone back to the office’,” Ms Capp said at the Press Club on Wednesday.

The lord mayor hopes major events and initiatives such as Midweek Melbourne Money will help Melbourne reclaim its title as the most liveable city in the world. Melbourne on mission to reclaim title as the most liveable city in the world
